Apartment hunting can be both fun and challenging! Finding an apartment that’s affordable, in a good location and up to your living standards are just the first things you need to worry about when choosing the perfect apartment. Whether you’re a first-time apartment renter, or you’ve been in the game for a while, you’ll want to ask some important questions before you sign a lease and collect your keys. We’ve put together the top twelve questions renters should ask property managers BEFORE signing a lease.

What are the lease terms?

Standard Lease terms are 3 months – 12 months.

What is required to be paid prior to move in?

Move in costs depend on screening approval/pets/timeframe of your move in

Are utilities included in the cost?

Utilities are billed separately from rent and are based on usage (Water/Sewer/Garbage)

What is your pet policy?

We allow up to 2 pets per household. Pet rent of $25 per pet, per month. Breed restrictions due apply. Pet deposits are as followed
**Pet Fee (non refundable) for 1 pet: $200

**Pet Deposit for 1 pet: $200

**Pet Fee (non refundable) for 2 pets: $300

**Pet Deposit for 2 pets: $300

What is your guest policy?

Guest policy states that while on the premises, they are to follow all lease rules as the tenants are. Guest can only stay a consecutive 10 days and a total of 20 days in a consecutive 12 month period.

Do you require apartment renters insurance?

Liability insurance is a requirement for all leases and must contain the property as a third party on the lease policy, and carry a minimum of $100,000 liability.

How do I pay the rent?

The options for paying rent are as such; By check/money order/certified funds, or on our payment app called Domuso.

How are repairs taken care of, especially in an emergency?

Repairs are taken care of by the maintenance staff. Emergencies are taken care of right away by both management, maintenance, and/or any 3rd party vendor as needed.

What is the parking situation?

Public Transportation is across the parking lot from our property.

How often does rent go up? By how much?

Rent typically goes up each year or by the end of a lease term. Prices depend on the offer from the corporate side. There is no set price.

What is the parking situation?

We offer paid covered parking spaces at $60 monthly, or free uncovered parking as a first come, first serve basis. Covered parking gets a parking sticker, and uncovered parking receives a tag.

Are there plans to update the building?

As of now, I have no word on any updating, or construction to the property.

Is there a penalty for breaking my lease?

We require a 20 day notice to vacate with notices turned in prior to the 10th of each month. There is a late break fee of 1 months rent.
